After years of delays and COVID-related disasters, the final film in the Daniel Craig era of Bond - NO TIME TO DIE - has finally hit theatres. Today, I look at how the movie masterfully uses emotional stakes in a franchise defining third-act finale. Very annoyed to have misspelt Cary Joji Fukunaga, hope the lord forgives me. I thought it back then and I think it now. Jo was a very, very selfish wife and mother!!!!! OH Boo HOO, she was a little bored, to bad!!! How many single women are struggling trying to put food on their tables this week or they can't pay their rent anymore. They would kill for a husband to earn a living for the family. She could have talked to Ted, they could have gone to a priest something, anything!! The way she just coldly packed her stupid suitcase like that and left the credit cards, what was she trying to prove. I am glad Ted at the end did not beg her back she is a total bitch back then and still today!!! She should woke up everyday thanking her maker for her blessings not bitching that She " couldn't work" what a bunch of garbage, she probably just wanted to get laid.

Given the use of free opinion, I'll just say that I have to thank that this movie existed. For it was thanks to this movie that it was clear that despite how grimm the world may be, we still need a Superman that doesn't put the "Super" before the "Man". Thanks to Man of Steel and Snyder, people are going to get the classic Superman back

Working for Bay was one of the highlights of my time at ILM. The Transformers movies were before my time, but the dude knows exactly what he wants, never messes you about with unclear feedback and dallies with him were always highly entertaining. Dude would and did approve some shots on almost their first version because he knows when something works. Very rare in a director.

The director masterfully uses the house and its surroundings, the light inside, the water reflections, and the color balance to create a stunning visual experience. The portrayal of Italian suburban life and the beauty of human relationships is beautifully balanced with the environment, making the film feel magical. In comparison to the storyline and the emotions of the lead characters, the true artistry lies in the harmonious craftsmanship of these elements.

8:20 It's not the priest either who has the power to absolve us of sins, it's God's grace in the form of Jesus' sacrifice. Confessions serve the purpose of getting help and guidance, not to be judged. Also, people don't go to hell for sinning; it's for refusing to believe and trust in the Savior God Himself sent to save us.

There is something I have never understood about The Man from U.N.C.L.E. I watched the whole TV series, and, I never once viewed David McCallum, as Illya Kuryakin, as being big or burly... He was a weapons expert, and a bit standoffish, but never seemed physically intimidating. Yet, every representation of him, be it in spoofs like in Darkwing Duck, where he was a massive, irritable Russian bear, and even this movie, where he is a near psychotic strongman, all seem to focus on his having been this massive Russian powerhouse, in place of his logic and finesse in using guns and rifles, and the like.

The movie starts with the elevator and ends with elevator. People miss that. This movie allows Ted to learn and grow throughout. He and Billy both learn how to deal with what has happened. I don't see it as a sacrifice. She was selfish and she knew she was at the point where she wanted her life to be more about her than the kid.

My local library has both arrow blu ray versions of the movie and it seems like I'm the only one who has checked it out!!!! I was even tempted to just keep it and never return it but I didn't !!! I finally got the same versions from ebay at a remarkable price of $5!!! The vendor was selling it as a dvd when in reality it was the blu ray version with its original packaging including the slipcover!!!! When I opened the package and realized that indeed it was the blu ray version with all its original packaging I started to cry because this film means so much to me!!!! I finally owned my favorite film on a very good blu ray transfer that included both the theatrical and director's cut!!!

The film's reference to legal matters in family law court is not realistic. Maybe the family laws were much different in 1979, but most films that featured legal matters were just inaccurate. Probably the most realistic part of the film is that women typically get custody of minor children.

And nowadays a woman has to be a woman, sexobject, wife, mother, homemaker, provider and after this MAYBE got their own identity. And men still don’t have to control their emotions, participate as equals in a relationship and a care work, household etc. 50 years later it’s mostly the same nowadays.

You were correct in not giving away the plot points; this is one of my all-time favorite movies, not only because my wife is Italian (and we live part-time in Italy) but because it is, as you say, 'everything a movie should be.' It is simply, just perfect, capturing the essence of authentic Italy, and its eternal timelessness. God bless all movie lovers...and this will make you love classic cinema all the more (just make sure to get the English subtitle version of it)...and after this, check out Jack Lemmon in 'Macaroni,' and 'The Great Beauty,' which is thoroughly haunting for anyone approaching retirement age. Funny how the Italians teach us how to make great movies again, just makes me sad that Americans only create comic book nonsense nowadays!

As someone who has never really seen this movie, but has always wanted to, it makes me sad to see how many people see this film as bad. And it does seem to go beyond mere opinion for some people. Though I suppose that’s how it is for most things. People saying “it’s just my opinion”, while simultaneously and clearly acting as though their opinion is an objective fact.
